Screenshots!
« on: July 20, 2014, 07:14:03 PM »
Went so long without thinking of a dedicated screenshots thread! >.<

When you want to put up a screenshot, you can use the attachment option, or if you host the image somewhere and use the [ img ] tag, please put [ img width=640 ] there instead so that massive images don't get cut off. :)

Oh well, here it is, I'll start!

I've made some stuff for terrablox, but I'm too lazy to link to much of it.

nice screenshots, jack, though I admit the clouds in the far right of the second screen is kind of ruining it :|

Yeah, there's a minor issue atm. Clouds/water/character don't draw onto the depth buffer, so when it puts the surfaces together it makes the clouds grey/blurry. Blurry I get, grey not so much... But meh, it works in theory. I'll explain more in the vid later.

OK, I fixed that issue, it was that the surface inherits the clouds' alpha. Check this thing out:

Yes, I know Terraboy has no arms! Had to remove them temporarily while I rewrite something. But now clouds and the characters are written to the depth buffer, even the tiny snow particles are! So falling snow/rain in the far distance is smoothed out to a faint ray. Looks really slick if I do say so myself! :P
